The chefs of Edible Education are super excited to be at this wonderful new school, working with excited and eager new students.  We are offering two cooking programs this summer: Cruise at Sea and the Science of Cooking. These camps are appropriate for grades K-G8 as indicated. 

Cruise at Sea

Hola, Bonjour, Ciao, Nǐ hǎo, Aloha, Hello! Campers will create recipes that are indigenous to far flung ports of call such as: France, Mexico, Italy, China and Hawaii. Where will our culinary ship disembark?  A sampling of items on the menu: crepes, pasta – linguine, ravioli, tamales, ahi poke, chicken long rice soup, haupia, and pot stickers.  Appropriate for GK – G8

Science of Cooking

Measurements can be a fun way to brush up on math skills. Discover the reactions between various foods and how heat affects ingredients. Campers will learn the “why” of working with unique ingredients and processes. From the Science of Breads to the Science of Pickling, students will have a delicious time discovering how much fun science can be in the kitchen.
