This is our 6th year showing kids how to cook at sunny St. Catherine’s. We are excited to offer three camps this year for G2-G3 and G4-G6.  As in previous years, St Catherine’s is handling the registration for camps held at their location. Their catalog/registration process is not available until late January 2017. So the camp themes/dates shown below are more of a “reserve the date” notice for those interested in attending camp at this location.  When camp registration is active, click the “Register” button,  and you will be redirected to their website to register. 


Cruise at Sea

Hola, Bonjour, Ciao, Nǐ hǎo, Aloha, Hello! Campers will create recipes that are indigenous to far flung ports of call such as: France, Mexico, Italy, China and Hawaii. Where will our culinary ship disembark?  A sampling of items on the menu: crepes, pasta – linguine, ravioli, tamales, ahi poke, chicken long rice soup, haupia, and pot stickers.

In this fun baking class, you will practice math, science and more while creating the best with the summer harvest. Super Hero Power Food

In order to have their super powers, super heroes eat need to eat super fresh food.  Campers will learn recipes that will kick their energy up to the next level. A sampling of items on the menu are: Captain America Shields, Hulk Smashcream, Power bars, and Green Machine Juice, make your own yogurt, and Spider Man Spaghetti.

Science of Cooking

Measurements can be a fun way to brush up on math skills. Discover the reactions between various foods and how heat affects ingredients. Campers will learn the “why” of working with unique ingredients and processes. From the Science of Breads to the Science of Pickling, students will have a delicious time discovering how much fun science can be in the kitchen.
