Saturday, Jan. 16: Edible Education’s “Chopped Junior” stars will be doing a demo at Richmond’s Ellwood Thompson’s
January 1, 2016, Richmond VA — On Saturday, Jan. 16, Edible Education® founder Chef Ann Butler, and her two students who starred on the Jan. 5 episode of Chopped Junior, will be hosting a demo at Richmond’s Ellwood Thompson’s Market.
Emily Waters, who made it to the second round, and Claire Hollingsworth, who took home the grand prize of $10,000, will be preparing their signature dishes, says Chef Ann, who throughout 2016 will be hosting cooking classes for kids and their parents at Ellwood Thompson’s.
On the menu for Sat. Jan. 16:
- Emily will be making Roma Tomato Pasta with Chicken, the dish that landed her a spot on Chopped Junior.
- Claire will be preparing Bread Pudding with Orange Zest, the dish that won her the top prize on the Jan. 5 episode, “Cuteness Overload.”
“I am thrilled to be sharing the recipes that these two students have created,” says Chef Ann. “Their success just goes to show what I’ve been saying for years — when kids have the opportunity to touch it, cut it, taste it, they will not only eat real food, they’ll get creative in the kitchen.”
