December 2015: Wishing You a Delicious Holiday Season — Edible News

Edi-1

Happy Holidays, Edible Education families and fans!

I’m Eddie, the mascot for the national cooking school for kids, Edible Education. I want to welcome you to our new website and the first issue of “Hot Off the Grill,” our monthly newsletter offering cooking tips, recipes, and a list of classes for kids — and some new ones for adults, too!

Here’s the skinny: Did you know that CDC studies show that if kids get 50 hours of cooking education before they are 12, it will change the way they think about food? Edible Education founder and CEO Chef Ann Butler is determined to teach thousands of children across America how to prepare real food, and love every minute of it.

Here’s how you and your kids can play:

November 2015: Is your child a “Little Big Shot?” Steve Harvey wants to know!

Attention all Edible Education families and fans: We have been invited to have a handful of our Edible Education students audition to appear on the d54f4b2a-1aa8-42d0-9f33-58e42e88c6e1TV show, “Little Big Shots,” which is produced by Ellen Degeneres and Steve Harvey.

Steve is the host, so we need to introduce him to our kids via video to get him excited about the amazing things Edible Ed students have learned.

Like serving a hot dish, time is of the essence. We need to send the show’s producers written statements and audition tapes by this Tuesday, Sept. 29 at the latest! Exciting, right?!

And this is yummy: If you are selected, you’ll be paid to appear! All travel expenses to NYC are also covered, and there’s a per diem to cover meals. I’ll be accompanying you, as will Chef Whitney, and a few parents. For details about the show, click here.

Would you like to play? Keep reading for instructions. And give us the heads up that you are planning to audition by sending an email to me – Ann@EdibleEdu.com. Also cc our new director of communications, Hope Katz Gibbs at Hope@InkandescentPR.com.
