Summer Camp never tasted so good! Our classes are 3 hours long and students prepare three to four recipes per class. Our trained chefs provide step-by-step, age appropriate, hands-on instruction for your kids, which makes learning to cook real food fun for everyone! Edible Education classes are designed to:

Provide students with the opportunity to interact with role models displaying healthy eating habits and lifestyles
Get children up, active and participating in meal planning and preparation
Fight childhood obesity
Bring Virginia Science and Math SOL’s to life
Broaden a child’s knowledge and understanding of the world with international cuisines
Teach cooperation and the ability to work well with others to complete a task
Have a ball!

We use locally sourced, seasonal produce. We welcome children with food allergies and specialized diets. We do not use nuts, nut products or artificial colors. We do use hormone-free meats along with soy, rice, and coconut milks. All recipes are provided when camp ends

Join the Edible Education chefs for a culinary tour around the world, where your taste buds will take a stop at some of the worlds best food destinations. Some of the countries on this culinary adventure include, Mexico, France, and Japan. A great food adventure awaits, are you ready to take the journey with us?

Open a Bakery I (Grade 2 and Up)

Open a Bakery I (Grade 2 and Up): The name says it all, Edible Education is opening a bakery. The campers will learn from start to finish, not only how to bake the tasty treats, but the basics of running their own business. On the last day the students will get the chance to open their very own bakery and invite their families to join in on the fun! Sample Menu: Cinnamon Rolls, Cupcakes, and White Chocolate Cheesecake.

Tropical Treats

Tropical Treats: The summer is great for visiting the tropics, but if you can’t make it there, you can still try all of the treats paradise has to offer. Camp C.H.E.F campers will make cuisines from the Caribbean, Hawaii, and the Bahamas.Sample Menu: Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Ginger Meatballs, and Pineapple Smoothies.
